The "Beyond Nirn" campaign is divided into four major acts, each representing a significant narrative arc with clear objectives. Each act introduces different types of challenges (combat, exploration, diplomacy, puzzles) to offer a varied and complete adventure.

The Four Acts
- Act I – The Twilight Escape: Characters start in captivity and must escape, thus forging their group.
- Act II – The Dawn Conspiracy: Exploration of Tamriel, investigation and travels to discover the truth about Thalmor plans.
- Act III – The Shadow of Numidium: The climax of the conflict on Nirn, with the revelation of Thalmor plans.
- Act IV – The Star Bastion: The final act takes place outside Nirn, offering total change of scenery while resolving the crisis.
